I didn't really know a whole lot about this show other than it being Attack in Black's CD release for their new album "Marriage".
I wound up finding out the day of the show that the lineup was going to be absoloutly incredible with City & Colour opening the show with Dan Romano and Spencer Burton from Attack in Black playing Drums and Bass.
Next up, Moneen. I havent been able to see Moneen play for many years now since they have been on tour solid for the whole time I have lived here in Toronto, and I have somehow missed their few Toronto performances including when they played Wakestock just this past weekend. Needless to say, they were amazing. I was talking to them before the show and they said they haven't played the Horseshoe since 2001 when they opened for the Constantines with Billy Talent.
After Moneen played, we were treated to a short acoustic set by Walter, who I had never heard of before this show, but was totally amazing.
Then finally at around 12:30, Attack in Black took the stage. They had a few special guest family members help them out on stage singing backup vocals, as well as playing Trumpet and Trombone for a few songs.
The place was pretty full which you could tell meant a lot to the guys in Attack in Black knowing that everyone was there to show their support for them.
