    Feb 8th (new notes)

Talking to Sandi from Fucked Up, we were both at both of the ‘final’ Ardift nights. She put it into perspective – I said the official ending show with Rammer was like a Celebration – She said, ‘Yah, and the Bush League - Anagram ending show was like a Funeral’.

I’m not sure how many other people came to both nights or even knew about this unofficial but technically last show. There was something perfectly depressing and anti-climactic about this night.

written the night of the show -
3am, after the Republic of Safety ... Last ever show - why is everything ending tonight ??

Anagram photos are dedicated to Heather, the girl screaming hysterically about the camera flash (actually after i took my last shot and was putting away the camera) 7 minutes into the set.

This was the last show at Adrift ever; it would be silly to not have any documentation. This space has held some totally memorable times.

    re: photo #1 from Anagram
you can document something without blinding the audience every 2 seconds! as there was no other light at adrift, having a bright flash going off non stop INTO the audience was pretty brutal. i'm sure you could have positioned the flash so that it wasn't going off RIGHT INTO the people in the audience's faces.

you got some great shots, but made the show unwatchable for the first 7 minutes.

obviously, this was a historical event in the toronto music scene that deserved to be documented, but there's something to be said about being unobtrusive and allowing the people at the show to also enjoy it while it's being documented.

    cheers,
    heather

ps. next time you'd like to dedicate something to me, please do so to my face instead of online.
