Women were great, I wish more people had showed up earlier. Very Sonic Youth-esk, obviously in an upbeat happier way. I had kind of expected the place to be overflowing by the first band, considering this was the last ever NHS show.
Ninja Highschool were good, but personally – this wasn’t me favorite show, and I think others have been way more off the wall, even at the same venue. I don’t know how to explain, and usually when something has a lot of hype (like a bands final show) it’s hard for it to live up to each persons expectations, especially if they’re a band you like but don’t have an extremely deep attachment to. I’ll never forget the very first time I saw them as the first band of the night , at ‘the Rockit’ at one of Eric Warner’s shows way way back, playing to about 10 people (I’ll dig up those photos at some point.)
