Yoshida Tatsuy (aka the drummer of Ruins) is absolutely impossible to turn away from – I was glued to watching him play (even on his own without Kawamoto on Bass) from start to finish of the set. I’ve never seen a drummer play so fast and tight for so long, with vocals too.

Lots of musicians have made live shows of playing an instrument with vocals along to prerecorded tracks but it often sounds empty and more like a karaoke thing – the effort that Yoshida put into making this so alive was obvious and with awesome results.
